Daniel & Natasha welcome you to The Fordwich Arms.

With a population of just 381 people, Fordwich is the smallest town in England, with a town hall which dates back to 1555.

Developed originally to become the port of Canterbury, situated along the Great River Stour which was used by the Normans to transport the Caen stone used to rebuild Canterbury Cathedral in the 12th and 13th centuries.

The Fordwich Arms itself dates back as far as 1828. After being destroyed by fire in December 1930, The Fordwich Arms was more or less re-built from the ground up shortly after.

We are excited to announce our monthly dining experience, Friends of Fordwich, where we invite different chef's from all over the UK for an evening of celebrating some of the country's greatest talents.

NEXT EVENT - Sunday 26th July

Our second event will be with Nicholas Fitzgerald, Executive Chef Patron of Tacos Padre, London and Coko Becker, one of the most exciting Mexican chefs working in the UK today. Coko trained at some of the country's best kitchens, including Pujol before moving to London and joining Annabel's. His cooking is rooted in Mexican flavours with a refined, modern approach which is all about bold and brilliant cooking. Having met Coko whilst cooking at Pujol, Dan is incredibly excited to welcome him to The Fordwich Arms.

Nick's menu is inspired from his time travelling around Mexico, drawing inspiration from the country's diverse street food culture. Nick first opened his stall in Borough Market 5 years ago, and is now renowned as one of the best Mexican restaurants in London!

This event will be held outside on our terrace, in true, authentic Mexican street food style, where guests can be seated or standing amongst like minded food lovers. Mexican food, Margaritas live Music!

Guests may begin to arrive from 4pm where you will be welcomed with a glass of frozen margarita!
