We’re excited to introduce Friends of Fordwich, our dining series celebrating some of the UK’s most exciting culinary talent.
Each event brings leading chefs from across the country into our kitchen for a one-night-only collaboration, showcasing seasonal ingredients, shared ideas, and individual style.
Our last event was held on 26th July, with Nicholas Fitzgerald, Executive Chef Patron of Tacos Padre, London and Coko Becker, one of the most exciting Mexican chefs working in the UK today.
Coko trained at some of the country’s best kitchens, including Pujol before moving to London and joining Annabel’s. His cooking is rooted in Mexican flavours with a refined, modern approach which is all about bold and brilliant cooking. Having met Coko whilst cooking at Pujol, Dan is incredibly excited to welcome him to The Fordwich Arms.
Nick’s menu is inspired from his time travelling around Mexico, drawing inspiration from the country’s diverse street food culture. Nick first opened his stall in Borough Market 5 years ago, and is now renowned as one of the best Mexican restaurants in London!
This event was held outside on our terrace, in true, authentic Mexican street food style, where guests were seated amongst like minded food lovers. Mexican food, Margaritas live Music and plenty of dancing.

Located directly opposite the Town Hall, The Fordwich Arms is a natural choice for pre- or post-ceremony receptions.
Couples and guests can enjoy drinks and dining in our restaurant, garden or riverside terrace, with the River Stour flowing gently between the two historic buildings.
If you’re looking for a small, intimate and genuinely unique wedding experience, combining the medieval Town Hall with a Michelin-starred dining destination, Fordwich offers something truly special.

The Town of Fordwich
Fordwich is officially England’s smallest town, complete with its own Town Council and Mayor, and at its heart sits the remarkable 15th century Fordwich Town Hall, still in use today.
The ancient hall retains its original timbers and historic features, including a former courtroom, jury seating, and even a small gaol last used in 1855, offering a truly unique and characterful setting.
The Town Hall is now used for small ceremonies as well as intimate events alongside its Town Council meetings.

From intimate dinners and long-table feasts to events that combine the historic Fordwich Town Hall with dining at The Fordwich Arms, every detail is considered with care; menus, flow, timings and atmosphere in order to create something genuinely personal.
Our unique location, overlooking the River Stour and surrounded by centuries of history, provides a remarkable backdrop for events that deserve to feel thoughtful and special, rather than formulaic.

For a private event in our dining room, prices start from £3,000 on a weekday or £5,000 Friday – Sunday.
The dining room will be exclusively yours from 12:00pm – 5:00pm for a lunch sitting, or from 6:00pm until close for an evening event.
For exclusive hire of our entire site, including our bar area and garden space, prices range from £10,000 – £15,000.
All prices quoted above are minimum spends, which can be met with both food and drinks with a variety of menus available to match your preference.
Our events manager will be available to offer any support throughout your planning.
You will also receive guidance from our Sommelier if required.
